To the NorthWest and centrally located to downtown and airport and only 30 minutes from the Gulf beaches, lies the Westchase area. Westchase is a 2,000-acre planned community just 14 miles northwest of downtown Tampa. Westchase was conceived as a family-friendly community with broad appeal, containing a variety of home styles in a wide range of prices. Incorporated in the original design, and continuing today are large conservation and wetlands areas, strategically placed commercial areas, and some mixed use (residential and commercial) areas. Just to the West and North of Westchase proper is an area called the Odessa/Keystone area.
